1310 nm DFB Laser from AOI
Applied Optoelectronics, Inc., a manufacturer of laser diodes, photodetectors, and optical modules for fiber optic communication systems, has announced the commercial availability of 1310-nm lasers with enhanced industrial- grade temperature ratings.
Providing for the developing Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) market, AOI has been delivering sample shipments of the extended temperature range 1310-nm DFB laser diodes to customers since October 2005. Currently, the production capacity is 10,000 per month. AOI is also providing 1490-nm and 1550-nm DFB lasers for FTTH applications.
